1-Lack of marketing knowledge. For your business to succeed, you need to learn as much as you can about marketing to drive traffic to your site. Only with traffic can you get someone to click on your Affiliate links to generate a sale. A lot of new Affiliate marketers are not aware of the work and research needed to drive traffic to their site.

2- Not having your own website. When you have your own website, you have the freedom to add whatever it is you need to it such as a subscription box to capture email addresses. Without your own site, you will only be increasing business for the merchant and limiting the sales you can be making by adding other products to your site.

3- Lack of advertising knowledge. You need to be familiar with how to market your site and what customer group you are targeting to. Knowing your customer and their needs will help you more in making a sale.

4-Selling, not pre selling: You need to warm your customer up to the sale before sending them to the sales page. This will make them excited to buy the product you’re recommending. If you try to sell them on your page and then send them to the merchant’s sale page, you will lose the sale.
