One of the best places to begin your successful affiliate marketing career is article marketing. It is affordable and is a proven method of success. The idea is to get tons of backlinks to your site and to get your name out there and establish you as an expert in the niche you are choosing to go into.

There are tons of places to post your articles to. They are easy to find with a simple Google search. Once you have your website set up for your affiliate product you simply write an article about the niche it is from. Then you submit it to as many of the directories as possible. The benefit of this is the little resource box that is included at the end of your article that has your name and a link back to your site. The more links pointing back to your site makes it seem like an authority on the topic and it gets you ranked higher in the search engines and increases traffic to your site which increases sales!

Since there are thousands of sites to submit your article to this can be time consuming. A solution to this are submission sites. They submit your article to many of these sites for a fee. It is a matter of time vs. money, what is your time woth to you and what can you afford?

One thing to be aware of is the penalty of duplicate content. When a webpage has the same content as another one the search engines penalize the sites and don’t give them as high a ranking. Again, there are services available to automate the process of rewriting your articles and submitting them to the directories for a fee.

Another form of marketing to look into is PPC or pay per click. This involves you writing an advertisement and having it displayed by a company such as Google AdWords. Everytime someone clicks on the ad you get a visitor to your site. The fee you pay can be very small and profitable if done properly, or very expensive and detrimental to your profits if done carelessly.

PPC marketing involves you choosing keywords that are related to your niche and placing a bid on those words. When someone searches for that term your ad gets shown. Depending how much you bid your ad may be first or it may not get shown at all if you don’t bid enough. It is difficult to master how much to bid and on which words but once you find the right balance for the words you choose profits go through the roof!

You can also be a successful affiliate marketer by using your blog. You simply write a review of the product you are promoting on your blog and send traffic there. You can use sites like Squdoo to send traffic to your site and also create backlinks to your site. Also you can put comments on the blogs of other bloggers and leave a link there to your site.

Remember that there are many paths to becoming a successful affiliate marketer and it is a good idea to explore them all, but don’t forget that it is a must to get good at one first then expand your horizons. You will be glad when you see money coming in from your efforts and even happier when you learn something new, implement it and become a super successful affiliate marketer!
