Make Money with Your Own EBook
One of the easiest things to get started on with Internet marketing is writing your own e-books. I’m currently working on writing one of my own so I’ve compiled a list of pointers you can use to get yours started in no time. Of course if you aren’t a very accomplished writer or would rather no write it yourself, you may want to employ someone to do the writing for you.
The topic for your e-book should come from research carried out in articles you’ve written, preferably on a subject you have knowledge about. Articles are less intimidating to write than a book and you can use some of the articles as promotional tools to create demand for your upcoming book. If these articles are sent to article directories, within a short space of time you should have a very good idea how many people have shown an interest and can estimate how successful it will be.
Once this is complete, you can start writing the content of your e-book and work out how you want it to look. The most common way to structure a book is by starting with an introduction, then the content of the book with a concluding section. Adding a resources area can be worthwhile too. You can also increase the value of the book by adding some bonus material or sections.
Once each article is written, place it into the e-book so you will have a better idea of how long it will be. There is less room for error with e-books and no room for unnecessary information to clutter them so don’t make it longer than about 50 to 60 pages. Because it’s more difficult to read on your computer screen than on the page, make sure there’s no information that’s essentially useless to your reader.
Most e-books contain extra or bonus information collected by the author. Be on the look-out for this so you can provide some too. From your point of view, this bonus information doesn’t need to be anything more than some extra articles you didn’t use in the book or a short report you’ve written. Don’t supply bonus material about a completely unrelated subject, readers don’t appreciate this.
