Building an opt-in list gives you endless ways to make a sale on a product or service for a lifetime. Opt-in marketing requires the permission of a willing customer to subscribe to your marketing materials, such as a newsletter. With affiliate
marketing, you can build an email list from the customers who visit your site and make continuous profits from them. A person doesn’t always buy with their first visit. If they opt-in your email list, you have the potential of making them a buying customer. It’s said that a person needs to see an advertisement for a product seven times before they will actually buy it.
Many people would think that building their lists would take hard work and time to build and collect names and email addresses, but this isn’t so. It does take patience and strategy to build your list but this opens up your business to targeted customers and endless profits.
There are many ways to build you opt-in list but there are several important things you need to get started.
Put up an eye-catching form that offers a useful product or newsletter. A customer may find it useful to subscribe to a newsletter that tells them how to make money online or any other subject you feel may attract that customer. Keep your list private. You don’t want to lose the trust of your customers by giving their email addresses to others without their permission. Keep in mind, a good reputation with your subscribers will build their loyalty and you’ll also attract new subscribers. Lose their trust and you lose your customer.
Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Use some creativity but not too busy. Remember, less is more. Build your materials around what the product is about. For example, if you’re selling an ebook, provide a picture of the book and give specific reasons why they should by the book and the benefits it provides.
If your subscribers benefit from your emails, they will be eager to receive more. Make sure to not flood them will too many emails because this can surely make a person “unsubscribe” from your list. Remember, you want to keep these customers so they will continue to buy whatever it is you offer.
