One of the most important things about running your Internet marketing business is understanding how the search engines work. If you understand how they work, you’ll understand how to get your site to the top of their pages.
Most people know what a search engine is and also how easy it is to use. You just go to the site, enter the words of what you’re looking for, and you have your results. Now how do you make sure your site is in the top pages of people’s searches? It’s your keywords.
When the search engines like Yahoo, MSN, or Google scour the Internet to retrieve the results, they consider the number of keywords on a site. They also look at particular keywords and phrases. If a person does a search for “how to make money online”, a site that includes this phrase 5-7 times will rank higher than one that only mentions it once. This is why it’s so important to include quality keywords in your text. Don’t overload your keywords; this will look like spam. Search engines hate this and will rank you low or if at all.
It may seem like a bear to incorporate these keywords and still make sense in your article. Read your article several times to make sure it flows and also read the content on other sites to see how their content flows. The easiest way to incorporate your keywords is this: include the keyword phrase in your title, first sentence, several times in your main body content, and lastly, at the end of your article. Using this method will surely work for you. Just don’t forget to proofread!
Understanding how the search engines work is an important part in Internet and Affiliate marketing. You can have the best product and most interesting content but not have a bit of sales unless people can find you. It may seem complicated incorporating your keywords throughout your site content, but with a little practice and know-how, you will master this process and make the big bucks in Internet marketing.
